New Card Designs

I really love how these hand printed cards are turning out as I continue to add new designs to the collection. Ever since I released the Packs I have been wanting to also offer them individually and have finally been able to do that now with this new website. in each listing you will find the option to buy the variety pack of designs complete with envelopes as well as individually so you can pick out the designs you like best.

I wanted these cards to carry a deeper meaning, to showcase culture and history with the different designs. Traveling across times and cultures from iron age to 17 hundreds Iceland, spanning across viking as well as celtic and beyond. these cards are perfect to send off to loved ones with heartfelt messages but also be perfect to hang on your wall or to fit into your altar.

The timeless celtic knots weaving life, death and stories untold over and under endlessly. Intriquite depictions of powerful animals to be revered for the lessons the bring with them. Tribes and cultures entwined with their norse neighbours - Trading, settling, fightning and sharing vital skills. Its always facinating finding the connections and common denominators between these people and the treasures they have left behind.

Natural and Sustainable.

It was very important to me to find the right paper to go with this project and the special designs. I knew i had to find a more rustic looking paper and kraft paper was of course the natural choice due to it being more durable as well as more enviromentally friendly than traditional white paper and when I found a small manufacturer in the Uited States I was eager to start this project.

Printed on A7 250 gsm Kraft paper that is stronger than regular paper. This paper is also more enviormentally friendly due to the fact that nearly all the chemicals used in the process are recovered and reused, it is a self-sustaining method. The main byproducts which are not recycled are turpentine and tall oil, which are used for other manufacturing purposes.

All of my packaging supplies are reused or recycled and made with the envirement in mind. Since the beginning of NorneWoven the years before that spent learning thee different crafts and immersing myself in these traditions it has been important to me to honor nature - to support local farmers and buisnesses, to offer something special, lasting and made with passions and respect for where it comes from.
